Verdict
A poor race which present a decent opportunity for the TEAMtalk selection Remains of The Day to finally get off the mark. The three-year-old has been running well in handicaps and maidens, including last time when runner-up on unfavourable terms at Newcastle. Kieren Fallon is an eye-catching jockey booking and the selection should run his race. Bonnie Lad looks held by the selection from that race while the joker in the pack could easily be the lightly-raced Paris Piper. The latter ran well when unfancied in the market at Beverley on his debut and further improvement can be expected, although it must be noted that he did have a highly favourable draw on that occasion. Of the others Consignia has been disappointing but will appreciate this drop in class and is a place possibility.
