In depth
Verdict
Bayside has obvious claims and gets the vote over Jeringa, with Cloudless Dawn best of the rest. Keith Reveley's charge followed up his course and distance win with a determined effort at Muselburgh and appears to be a most progressive sort. He should have enough improvement in him to see off the challenge of the slightly less experienced but older Jeringa, who has to carry more weight. John Wade's inmate made all to beat The Wife's Sister on his Sedgefield bow, but that was on very heavy ground, and the slightly faster conditions may find him out against the selection. The mare Cloudless Dawn shaped well enough when fourth at Fakenham but is bred to appreciate further and is best watched, while the market should be noted as to the chance of Hialeah, whose stable is no stranger to success at this venue. The rest make little appeal, and it really looks a two-horse race, with Bayside holding obvious claims
