Verdict

Bigindie has finished runner-up in three bumpers this year but is unlikely to have the pace of the Newmarket-based raiders ROCKET SHIP and Spiritoftheunion. The former looks the one to be on as he has come up against some useful rivals in his recent starts and the fast going should bring out the best in him. Spiritoftheunion was tackling heavy ground when runner-up to Empress Ali at Ripon and should also benefit from today's conditions though the form of that race hasn't worked out brilliantly. It's difficult to work up any enthusiasm for the prospects of the remainder.
