      Verdict

      After a string of modest efforts on the all-weather earlier this year, PINEAPPLE PETE finally got off the mark when returning to the turf at Nottingham last week. He's fancied to defy a 6lb penalty in this lesser grade and follow up. Misty Morn scored over C&D two weeks ago but is not certain to confirm the running with runner-up Tancred Spirit or, for that matter, Majestic Millie and Yours who finished fourth and fifth respectively and are open to further progress. Spontaneity has gone close in a couple of all-weather maidens but it remains to be seen if he reproduce that form under these different conditions.
