In depth

Verdict

Samara Bay is the only handicap winner but that came over 7f here and she remains 6lb higher. Mokaman has won a novice race over the minimum trip at the track but Imperial Fora has yet to threaten in handicaps and is one of the more exposed. Beverage was still well beaten when third at Yarmouth while several make their handicap debuts including Shanghai Rock and Hedwig but COMETH THE MAN gets the speculative vote to progress further having faded in the closing stages at Ayr last time when attempting to make all in soft going.
