Verdict

Uddy Mac has been given plenty of chances to open her account but despite a better effort last time out this is not a sure-fire sign that she is ready to lose that maiden tag as she has looked less than progressive to date. The market will provide the best guide to the debutants, but our preferred choice is KHANDAQ. The trainer wouldn't send him here from County Meath without a chance and he looks like he is developing the right way with each run and was just a length and a half behind the winner at Haydock last time out. Seven furlongs may bring out the best in him with similar front running tactics possibly employed again here. Sartingo is a half-brother to winners in Australia and Hong Kong and may come on for debut with Excellent Thought offered as an alternative, although she was in better form last season.
