        Verdict

        Newcastle winner Strands Of Silk makes less appeal today off a 6lb higher mark while Emerald Bay's recent win came in a plating race at Wolverhampton. Searanger won a lowly maiden at Musselburgh and faces a tougher task but a couple of these drop in class. Crombay was well beaten back in a handicap at Beverley recently but SOCIALITES RED finished third in a tougher race than this at Chester and Scott Dixon's filly may prove good enough at this level. Mininggold has slipped down the weights since landing a maiden race at Carlisle and could go well off her current mark.
