    Verdict

Dark Shot broke much better at Leicester on Monday but still has a lot to find with GLORY FIGHTER (NAP) on earlier Thirsk running. The latter is having only a third outing for Paul Midgley and finished third in a better race here in the autumn off a 3lb higher mark – Ryan Sexton’s claim is a further plus. Stablemate Militia is also eased in grade and John Kirkup will handle any give in the ground. Isle Of Lismore has dropped below his last winning mark but Mellys Flyer is having a first try over the minimum while Duke Of Firenze appears a light of former days.
