Verdict

Queen Adelaide didn’t appear to enjoy the give in the ground at Yarmouth earlier this week but is preferred to Echo of the three-year-olds. Richard Strauss has been thereabouts lately but is another for whom conditions may be too testing, though he did finish ahead of Echo over 1m4f at the start of the month. Betancourt arrives in good form and was ahead of Falcon's Fire over 2m here last time but could also struggle on the ground. JAN DE HEEM was second in this last year on similar going. He’s not won this season so is 3lb lower and gets the vote.
