In depth

Verdict

Northside Prince continues to run with credit in defeat but Alan Swinbank's gelding has been the subject of the handicapper's attentions as a consequence. He found NEW HAMPSHIRE too good when they met at Carlisle, and he could well find Tony Coyle's gelding finishing ahead of him again. The four-year-old was sent off at a big price at Doncaster last Saturday and, though two progressive sorts ultimately headed him having set off at a decent clip, he lost nothing in defeat. Party Line looks to have found her form in no uncertain terms, having posted victories at Beverley and Thirsk, while Bridie Belle has run two solid races over a similar trip at York though she struggled to see out 1m6f at Haydock. Tres Coronas is useful on his day though probably needs more cut in the ground.
