Verdict

BRANDON CASTLE wasn’t suited by a slow pace when chasing a hat-trick at Musselburgh but still only found the in-form Chebsey Beau too good. Archie Watson has coaxed him back to his best and he can pick up the winning trail again. First Quest is getting no help from the handicapper but has place claims in a race like this, as does Sheriff Garrett. Fulham, however, was soon beaten at Haydock earlier this month, though probably needed that run. The remaining trio have a bit to prove at present.
