Verdict

MAMOO is in very good form having scored over the course and distance then beaten less than two lengths in a Class 3 handicap on a return visit last month. The Composeur had shown nothing in three novices' events over 2m5f before being well supported and landing a 3m1f Huntingdon handicap for which he's been raised 10lb. The step up in trip obviously suited, though his trainer said he appreciated the quicker ground which he won't get here. Sweet Vinetta was well beaten on her only start beyond 3m and though Too Many Chiefs has won around here from an 18lb higher mark he hasn't been in the best of form. Winning point-to-pointer Eclair On Line ran a bit better on his handicap debut at Doncaster but will need to find more.
