      Verdict

      PERFECT WORDS posted his worst effort so far when fifth in soft ground at Beverley a week ago which doesn't boost confidence. Saying that, it's still better form than any of today's competition have shown up to now and he sets the standard albeit not a very high one. Amourous showed little on her debut on fast ground at Redcar but better is expected with that experience under her belt while Mad Jazz finished well ahead of both Red Koko and Maggies Gem when second at Musselburgh last time, though earlier form gives her something to find with Shop Til You Drop. Saltaire Lass makes her debut but looks nothing special on breeding.
