In depth

Verdict

Lawless Louis is lumbered with a 7lb penalty for winning at Doncaster a fortnight ago, though should still go well with an apprentice’s allowance reducing his burden. But PEACHEY CARNEHAN only failed by a nose to make a winning start at Goodwood last week so Mark Johnston’s charge gets the nod on today’s terms. The remainder with experience have plenty of improving to do so Used To Be, a brother to a winner, may prove a bigger threat on his racecourse debut.
