Verdict

COMINO completed a double over this trip at Thirsk before a decent effort in a better race at Ascot. He then bounced back to land a similar race to this over the track and trip when Ready and Evanescent occupied the places. The winner is up 4lb but appears to be progressing enough to confirm the form over the placed horses and take this. Azrur liked the trip and soft ground as he showed when landing a Newbury claimer after which he's changed hands and he's well handicapped on his best form. Bop It is a fair sprinter who will be tackling this trip for the first time on his 32nd start but Piceno is 9lb higher than his last success over this course and distance in April.
