      Verdict

      PINZOLO is penalised for last year's Listed win but has already won on the all-weather this year and his main challengers are all making their seasonal debuts. That list includes Maid In Rio, who won a couple of handicaps last term before losing form, and Nearly Caught, a close-up sixth in the Cesarewitch at Newmarket in October. Haydock winner Montaly has been off the track since September while Old Town Boy and Lycidas have a bit to find on today's terms.
