        Verdict

        The veteran Shifting Star is a great credit to connections as he's been in fine form throughout the year and thoroughly deserved his narrow victory at Windsor last month. He's up another 2lb but will be difficult to keep out of the frame again. Fantasy Gladiator has won 10 races, including at Musselburgh in September, though he's subsequently been beaten twice off this mark. STEAL THE SCENE has won a couple of minor events but his best run came in a better handicap on fast ground at Haydock in June when only beaten a head, form that should be good enough for this. Moonlight Venture's only success came at Southwell while Best Tamayuz has won three times there, his only victories to date.
