Verdict
Apex King is best over 7f and won over that trip at Goodwood last time. He’d earlier finished behind third-placed Qaroun at the same track and the latter could go well but BUBBLE AND SQUEAK is preferred. She won in this grade at Ascot last month and with an apprentice’s allowance negating most of a 4lb rise, Sylvester Kirk’s progressive filly can go in again. Hot Team won a Listed race in France last year and makes his handicap debut today while dual novice winner Name The Wind was outclassed in the 2000 Guineas but should be more at home in this. Kempton winner Bacacarat along with Nicklaus are upped in class while Goring has a good strike rate on the all-weather but looks high enough in the weights now as does War Glory.
