In depth

Verdict

Dal Harraild finished well ahead of Curbyourenthusiasm when winning a Listed event over 1m6f at York last year but has needed an outing to put him right in the past. Great Hall was in fine form over shorter trips last year and has won over hurdles before. He should be sharper for last month’s comeback but SOLDIER IN ACTION is preferred. The latter makes a quick reappearance having finished a modest fourth over 1m4f at Wolverhampton during the week but ended last year with a victory over 2m at Kempton and has every chance on these terms. General Ginger picked up an all-weather bumper at Kempton earlier in the week but faces a stiff task on debut under this code.
