FINAL CHOICE didn’t get the best of runs here last time having won by five lengths over track and trip before that. He can effectively race off a lower mark today with an apprentice’s allowance taken into account. Lyford had less excuse for a below-par effort last time having won over a shorter trip here on his penultimate start but Jumping Cats posted a better effort over 1m5f at the track last month. Hattaab is more exposed and was still well beaten when placed at Redcar recently but Willingforshilling may improve for this longer trip.
