Verdict

Watchable makes a quick reappearance having won over track and trip during the week but this is a tougher handicap and he’s penalised 4lb. Woven finished in front of Desert Safari when runner-up at Goodwood a fortnight ago and can figure while Desert Doctor is also capable at this level but hasn’t raced since March. RAUCOUS (NAP) will be sharper for a recent comeback run at Newmarket and the Listed winner finished third in last year’s Stewards’ Cup when last seen in a handicap. An apprentice’s allowance further helps his cause and Bob Cowell’s charge may prove the one to beat.
