Verdict

Rock Icon was probably flattered by his margin of victory over a slightly shorter trip on Turf in August but looks to be improving and should be in the firing-line again, despite a 12lb hike in the ratings. Polar Kite will have a winter campaign mapped out and might need this but is usually thereabouts in races like this on Polytrack. Dukes Meadow is 9lb lower than for his only previous win over this course and distance last November and closely matched with Stun Gun on more recent form. It's more than a year since we last saw BATTLE OF BOSWORTH but it would be no surprise to see Paul Cole's three-year-old go close given he's unexposed and only found one too good on his only previous run in a handicap.
