Verdict
Victory Wave was well beaten bidding for a hat-trick at York last month when Clubbable finished fourth while Poet's Society has struggled in a couple of starts since winning at the same York meeting. The latter’s stablemate RUFUS KING was still in contention when hampered in the closing stages over track and trip a fortnight ago and had won here before that with Constantino well beaten. Mark Johnston’s charge gets another chance ahead of recent Kempton winner Fennaan. The latter can confirm latest running with Gallipoli and go close while George remains in fine form and is preferred to the unpredictable Squats.
