In depth

Verdict

Irish Times will find this tougher than the classified event he won here in March and LACAN gets another chance. Sent to Southwell and starting favourite on his debut for Mick Appleby, he finished only fourth but is expected to do much better back on this surface. Caledonia Laird won off today’s mark over a mile here in November while Deolali won over today’s trip at Newcastle in February though has reverted to type since. Red Skye Delight has switched yards and may prove best of the rest.
