    Verdict

Gentlemen finished in front of Smokey Lane when scoring over 7f here in November and won again over the latter trip at Newcastle recently. Red Alert ended last year with a double and ran well on last month’s comeback at Kempton but KING ROBERT was placed in a higher grade sprint over course and distance recently and is taken to come out best having won at this level here in December. Al Asef has slipped down the weights and Ryan Moore takes over the reins today while Classic Pursuit is not badly treated with an apprentice’s allowance helping his cause.
