In depth

Verdict

Kinver Edge failed to land the odds at Wolverhampton last month and the Godolphin representative is dropped down in distance for this. Barossa Red moves in the opposite direction having gone close over 7f at Southwell last time but shares the same handicap rating as WHITE COAT. The latter has suffered a couple of narrow-margin defeats, including over today’s distance at Kempton on his latest start, but John Gosden’s colt is fancied to open his account in this. Lovely Approach was placed at Newcastle at this time last year and has been gelded subsequently while Bawaader is a brother to winner and preferred to Love Explodes of the newcomers.
