        Verdict

        It could pay to stick with recent course and distance winner MERCY ME. She’s upped 3lb for that success but remains on a winning mark and should go close again. Transmitting and Tenerezza have not shown as much progress as expected in handicaps though both remain unexposed but Recognition has rejoined Roger Varian off a high enough mark having won over hurdles for Nicky Henderson in July. New Record was ahead of Topamichi when third here last time, though he failed to threaten the winner.
