        Verdict

        ENFJAAR (NAP) won what appeared a low key maiden at Newmarket back in October but the race couldn’t have worked out much better. The four horses behind have all won subsequently, including the current Derby favourite Military Order, so Roger Varian’s colt can defy a penalty. Lion Tamer disappointed at Lingfield last time though still finished in front of Penzance while Art Of Romance finished runner-up at Newmarket on his debut. Lord Of Excess is a brother to a winner and Metaverse is related to a Group 3 winner in Italy.
