    Verdict

Olly Murphy has been firing in the winners over jumps and on the level with AVOCET (NAP) adding to the tally at Southwell last week. Despite idling in the closing stages, the five-year-old won by six lengths and had shown enough on Polytrack earlier to suggest the switch of surface and penalty won’t be a problem here. Canford Thompson has been knocking on the door but is now 0-15 on the Flat. Torch steps up massively in distance and has not managed to make the frame in 10 attempts on the all-weather. Reason To Believe is a long-standing maiden racing from out of the handicap but Royal Hall came in for significant support at Kempton eight days ago and may be capable of better.
