      Verdict

      POWER UP beat a previous winner easily enough when scoring over track and trip last time. Robert Eddery's filly can defy a 5lb rise on that evidence but a penalty proved beyond Nouvelle Ere last time having won at Kempton before that. Thane Of Cawdor also won at Kempton recently but has so far recorded all six victories on the all-weather at that venue while Jazri has yet to win off a mark as high as today and Weld Arab has been well beaten since scoring at Wolverhampton during the summer. Nellie The Elegant made a winning start on the all-weather last year but has been hurdling without success since.
