      Verdict

      A competitive affair but it could pay to stick with HAINES. He’s been winning over 2m, including his latest start at Kempton, but in a higher grade than this and Andrew Balding’s charge should go close again. Recent winners Daisy Boy and Captain Navarre are both upped in class and distance today though the former scored over track and trip earlier while the returning Dannyday went close in this grade over 1m6f at Haydock last summer. Shingwedzi had placed form in pattern company in South Africa but the Chester Cup entry has his first start for Ed Dunlop today.
