Verdict

After his two runs behind Palace Pier at this stage a year ago, no-one would have expected MARS LANDING to still be a maiden. However, he's been placed in very much stronger company than this since returning in July and will take some beating. At Ease has a smart pedigree being a half-sister to seven winners and she'll be better for her debut at Newcastle. Born To Sire was a 250/1 chance here a couple of weeks ago but belied his odds staying on over 7f so he looks a place prospect.
