      Verdict

      Abbado won a maiden in soft going at Chester last time and can confirm running with third-placed Aegis Power despite worse terms. But INGLETON looks a threat stepping up in trip on the back of a debut second at Yarmouth and the Godolphin colt gets the vote with Charlie Appleby’s yard remaining in top form. Geopolitic has some improving to do but Al Aabir is a 200,000gns purchase and is preferred to Ajs Jallaad of the newcomers.
