Verdict

The market may be the best guide to the chances of French import Daphne Du Clos but she faces no easy task in a race in which five of her rivals have also won races. Northern raider Shearling is two from two and maidens Dynamite Dollars and Cockney Wren showed enough on debut in the same race at Taunton to suggest they’ll be winning soon. CAP SOLEIL only had to be shaken up to stride clear at Newbury and looks a smart recruit to the bumper ranks. She’ll be hard to beat if showing a similar turn of foot over this slightly longer trip.
