Verdict

Tubber Roads, three times a winner in hunter chases last season, is likely to be a popular choice to carry on where he left off in this 13-runner event. Although below par in the Aintree Foxhunters this is an easier race and it would be surprising if the nine-year-old couldn't put his Liverpool disappointment behind him. Dual point-to-point winner Presuming Ed and the Clive Cox-trained Alpine Panther are others worthy of a mention.
