Verdict

BAREL OF LAUGHS only beat The Wealerdealer a short head in this 12 months ago when odds-on but Philip Rowley’s charge has been in fine form again this spring with a second in the Foxhunter here in March possibly a career-best. If in the same mood, he’ll be difficult to beat. Fourovakind stays well but is hard to predict nowadays. Last month’s Stratford winner Abricot De L'Oasis has never raced over a trip this far and is taking on the selection off level weights while Pentiffic ran only five days ago when unseating his rider. Owen Glendower is also a teenager and needs softer ground than he’ll get today.
