Verdict

Robinshill has a very good strike-rate having won four times over fences and seven times over hurdles, including last time at Leicester. He’s the senior runner in this but should still give a good account. Castel Gandolfo finished off strongly when second in a novices’ handicap here four weeks ago and Punxsutawney Phil ran well for fourth on the track a day later. Quinta Do Mar is another with form on the track and he arrives in cracking form while Lively Citizen has each-way claims, despite racing from out of the handicap, and Royaume Uni bolted up at Plumpton when last over hurdles. BROOMFIELD BURG was trying to give the promising Silent Revolution 7lb at Newbury and was only beaten a length-and-a-half. If he settles a little better, he could make a winning start in handicaps.
