    Verdict

Tanterari has given the impression in his last two starts that he is feeling the effects of a hard season and may now be in the grip of the handicapper as well so Martin Pipe's gelding is probably best left out of calculations in a race taken to go to Kelly ahead of Myson. The last mentioned has been showing a consistent level of form in similar contests of late but may be a shade high in the weights now. Harry Collins fulfilled earlier promise when successful at Fakenham last time but this looks tougher and of more interest may be Robert Alner's Toulouse, who won well at Hereford when last seen in November and comes here fresher than most but has yet to prove his effectiveness over today's trip. Tony Carroll's Up The Glen has more to do than when winning at Chepstow last time and a bigger threat may be Ross Leader, who is less exposed than many of these. The least exposed chaser in the field though is Kelly, who jumped like an old handicapper when making a winning debut over fences at Huntingdon last month and is taken to follow up on his handicap chase debut today.
