In depth

Verdict

Plenty of old favourites and established handicappers here in a contest which may well revolve around the ability of Born Survivor to stay this trip as he's usually campaigned around 2m4f. That said, he's clearly been saved for an end-of-season campaign on the better ground and came back to form with an easy success latest at Stratford. He's still very well treated and is the one to beat if staying. Singlefarmpayment scored for the first time since 2016 the last day and is dangerous off his current mark, whilst Enqarde could go very well if repeating his soft and heavy ground form under these quicker conditions. DOMAINE DE L'ISLE returned to form last month with a stylish success and is taken to follow up off a 7lb higher mark in the belief he'll stay this trip, having won in the past on soft over 3m.
