Verdict
Zacharova looks the pick of the two runners in the race trained by Venetia Williams ahead of Miko de Beauchene but both may struggle off their current marks and preference in a competitive contest is for DON'T PUSH IT. Jonjo O'Neill's gelding ran some good races in defeat over hurdles last term but did not win until returned to fences when successful at the Grand National meeting. The son of Old Vic ran well on his reappearance at the same venue last month and that run should have put him spot on for this race which is over a more suitable trip. Maljimar ran well here for Nick Williams last time and is bound to have his backers, while Lacdoudal may need another run before showing his best. Nigel Twiston-Davies has two runners in the race with Hello Bud looking the pick of the two ahead of Baron Windrush and they have to be considered with the stable's runners in good form but a bigger threat is likely to come from Russian Trigger. Vic Dartnall's gelding lacks a recent run but ended last season in good form and, with the yard's runners in good form, he has to be respected. The Thomas Mullins-trained Chelsea Harbour will appreciate any further softening of the ground but as conditions are at present Don't Push It looks the one to beat.
