Verdict

Gaelic Warrior has been all the rage in the ante-post betting since the weights were announced. But he looks likely to start at very short odds in a maximum field considering he ran three times in France without winning and lacks a recent outing. Willie Mullins has also never trained the winner of this with only one of his 16 previous runners managing to finish in the first five. HMS SEAHORSE was less than three lengths behind The Tide Turns at Punchestown in January and is 9lb better off. Brazil was only fourth yet is also 9lb worse off with Paul Nolan’s improver. Gordon Elliott is aiming to win this race for the fourth time and is mob-handed with Britzka and Ebasari both open to improvement. Paul Nicholls also has a good record in this but has just one runner this year, Bell Ex One, who is having his first run for the yard after a break. Swinging London split Iberique Du Seuil and Champion Green at Cork in December and won for Olly Murphy at Fakenham so could go well at a price among the others.
