Verdict
Shantou Express won over further at Stratford in the summer but soft going would be a concern today. Captain Morgs is only 3lb higher than when landing this 12 months ago and reverts to hurdles after a couple of runs over fences but stablemate BOLD ENDEAVOUR makes more appeal. The top weight has run a couple of solid races in defeat so far this season and Freddie Gordon claims 5lb today. Gyenyame hasn’t been beaten far in two runs over shorter trips this season but is closely matched with Tiger Jet on latest running here with the latter proven over this distance. White Rhino is another trying a new trip but he has been very progressive and won four of his nine career starts so far.
