In depth

Verdict

Willie Mullins saddles almost half of the field bidding for a third win in this race in four years. It’s easy to see the Closutton masses dominating with several having run in the Grade 1 at Leopardstown last month won by Gala Marceau. LOSSIEMOUTH was a very short-priced favourite that day but had no luck in-running. She’d come out on top when the pair had clashed at the same track over Christmas and can recoup losses today. Blood Destiny has landed the odds in both starts for Mullins with the minimum of fuss and will likely have more to offer while Zenta beat Hypotenus on her first run for the yard at Fairyhouse. Jupiter Du Gite was behind Active Duty here in January while Jipcot makes his debut today for Ben Pauling.
