Verdict
The winning run of Imperial Presence came to end off today’s mark at Perth in September though he still ran well for second and isn’t out of this. Both Mister Whitaker and Highway One O One were well beaten in tough handicaps here on their respective latest starts though the latter found only one too good over these fences before that but a chance is taken on RENE’S GIRL. A dual Listed winner over fences, Dan Skelton’s mare goes handicapping over the larger obstacles for the first time and may prove good enough returning from a lay-off. A dual winner at Ascot, Wenyerreadyfreddie has a shout back on good ground but Kings Monarch is upped in class attempting to land a hat-trick and also has a hike in the weights to contend with.
