Verdict

Market leaders Royal Kahala and Gauloise were upstaged by Roseys Hollow in a Grade 3 at Fairyhouse but weren’t beaten far and Mighty Blue also finished close up. Gauloise is one of four bidding to extend Willie Mullins’ domination of this Grade 2 with Hook Up’s fourth behind Appreciate It in the Pharma having already been franked this week. Glens Of Antrim looks certain to get off the mark sooner rather than later but Pont Aval is already an eight-year-old. The Glancing Queen ran in last year’s Champion Bumper and she’s won twice over timber this season and placed in a Grade 1. Telmesomethinggirl may have needed the run in a Leopardstown handicap last month but we’ll take a chance on stable companion MAGIC DAZE. She’s had just two starts under Rules and won her second with the proverbial ton in hand. This will require a big step forward but she looks one to follow. Allavina and Martello Sky are old rivals and probably best of the rest.
