Verdict
Blame The Game props up the weights but ran well over 3m4f here in the spring and Molly Landau is one of several amateurs able to claim the full 7lb in this. However, Mole Court is probably Ben Pauling’s best hope of back-to-back winners in this. Strictlyadancer was only fourth behind the latter here last month but won this in 2021 and Chambard has also won here in the past and hails from a yard in red-hot form. There has been no Irish-trained winner of this in the last 15 years but recent winners Read To Return and Hascoeur Clermont will be fancied to be thereabouts and Brampton Belle could also figure. Tea Clipper, Latitude and Manothepeople are others for the shortlist but WAYFINDER was more like his old self here three weeks ago and Gina Andrews is a good jockey booking for a race like this.
