In depth

Verdict

Autumn Promise is selected ahead of Freeze The Flame and Helen Wood. The well-bred Autumn Promise, who showed promise in a light Flat career, looks an interesting recruit to this game and gets the nomination in the juvenile event. Freeze The Flame has done nothing wrong in winning his last two races and, even though penalised for those efforts, can go well today. Much as the form of his Fontwell win probably is only modest, Dream Witness is not ruled out of bagging some money today, and neither is the David Pipe-trained Helen Wood, even though she only won a seller on the Flat. Finally, Kalatime was beaten seven lengths by Helen Wood at level weights at Windsor over 10 furlongs in that seller in her latest Flat run, but a good run is not ruled out. Once again, though, the selection is Autumn Promise.
