Verdict

FRODON and Bryony Frost are a formidable combination around here. Though giving away 17lb and upwards to his rivals on his return to action, the top weight is back on a winning mark nonetheless and won a Grade 2 over this trip at the track last year even though he is probably better over shorter. His slick jumping could have a few of these stayers in trouble, though he’s unlikely to get an easy lead. Captain Chaos and Cogry, winner of this in 2017 and another course specialist, like to be prominent and Manofthemountain is another who races up with the pace. The latter is 4-5 over fences while Bob Mahler was third in the Fulke Walwyn Kim Muir here in March, though usually needs a run.
