In depth

Verdict

Snap Tie, Forest Pennant and Imperial Commander are the three to look at here and Snap Tie can lead them home. Forest Pennant has not seen a racecourse to date but represents Paul Nicholls here so presumably, with the army of talent he has at his disposal, he must have been showing something at home. Out of a dam who was a half sister to the winning staying jumper Mister Gossip, Forest Pennant can make a good start to his career but may find others too quick. Imperial Commander has won his only point to point and hails from the bang in form Nigel Twiston-Davies yard. He may not come into his own until taking on obstacles but he is very much respected. Philip Hobbs describes Snap Tie as a very exciting prospect and he is set to follow the same route as Leading Contender and head for the top bumper at the forthcoming Paddy Power meeting. His Limerick bumper win has worked out well, and although he saddles a penalty for that success, he is Flat bred and can prove too speedy for his rivals. Snap Tie can collar them on the climb to the finish.
