Verdict
We will side with Sir Oj in this good race, with others making it onto the shortlist being Fondmort, My Will and Europa. Fondmort loves it here and, even though he has been raised five pounds for his latest course and distance win, you cannot rule him out of calculations. My Will is probably good value for his current rating and, dropping back in trip from his last two runs, is respected. Celtic Son has yet to build on his impressive Wincanton win in November, but would hold claims if getting it together again, but Seebald, despite holding very good claims based on his pre-November 2004 form, has not looked so good lately. Ratings revisions bring the winner, Sir Oj, fifth, Europa, and sixth, Redemption, closer together from their course and distance 'Robin Cook' runs, although we still favour Sir Oj to come out on top again - but only just from Europa, who looks competitively weighted and who is respected. Risk Accessor is capable of running well from his current rating, while Quazar is now five pounds below the mark from which he won over course and distance in April. Finally, from a stable in form, Schuh Shine comes here in good heart following his smooth Haydock success and is respected but, for the selection, we return to Sir Oj.
